Job Description

Restaurant General Manager

Luxury Hotel | Nashville, TN

$100,000 Base Salary + Bonus, Exceptional Benefits and Culture!

A nationally recognized luxury hotel in Nashville is seeking an accomplished Restaurant General Manager to lead one of its signature food and beverage operations.

This is an opportunity for a polished hospitality leader who understands that exceptional service lives in the details: the anticipation of a guest's needs, the precision of a dining room, the confidence of a well-trained team, and the consistency required to deliver an extraordinary experience every single day.

The property operates within an award-winning luxury environment where culinary craftsmanship, gracious hospitality, culture, art, and highly personalized service are woven together. The standard is intentional, sophisticated, and uncompromising.

What You'll Lead

  • Own the overall operation and performance of the restaurant, including service, financial results, team development, guest experience, and culture
  • Lead from the floor with a highly visible, hands-on approach during service
  • Maintain exceptional luxury service standards across every guest touchpoint
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing front-of-house team
  • Reinforce Forbes Travel Guide service standards through daily coaching, pre-shifts, observation, feedback, and accountability
  • Create a culture where warmth and genuine hospitality are as important as technical precision
  • Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless execution between the kitchen and dining room
  • Manage labor, scheduling, productivity, operating expenses, and departmental profitability
  • Monitor revenue, costs, forecasting, and restaurant performance against budget
  • Maintain exceptional standards for restaurant presentation, cleanliness, organization, and readiness
  • Oversee reservations, seating strategy, VIP recognition, guest recovery, and special requests
  • Develop strong relationships with repeat guests while creating personalized experiences for new guests
  • Collaborate with hotel leadership, beverage, culinary, events, and other departments to deliver a cohesive luxury experience
  • Continuously evaluate service execution and identify opportunities to elevate the guest journey

What We're Looking For

  • Progressive restaurant leadership experience within luxury hotels, resorts, fine dining restaurants, or comparable high-touch hospitality environments
  • Previous Restaurant General Manager, General Manager, Director, or senior restaurant leadership experience
  • Forbes Travel Guide standards training and demonstrated experience operating to Forbes service standards are an absolute requirement
  • Strong understanding of elevated sequence of service, guest recognition, anticipatory service, and luxury service recovery
  • Proven ability to train and develop teams to consistently execute exacting standards
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing labor, cost controls, budgets, forecasting, and P&L performance
  • Sophisticated food, wine, beverage, and fine-dining knowledge
  • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence
  • Ability to balance operational discipline with genuine warmth and hospitality
  • Comfortable operating in a highly visible environment with discerning leisure, business, VIP, and special-event clientele
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field preferred

The Leadership Profile

We are looking for someone who recognizes the difference between service and hospitality .

You understand standards, but you don't allow them to become robotic. You can teach technical precision while creating a team that is intuitive, gracious, confident, and genuinely engaged with the guest.

You notice the small things.

You develop people.

You hold the line on excellence.

And you understand that in a Forbes-level environment, consistency isn't the goal only when leadership is watching—it is simply how the restaurant operates.

Compensation

Base Salary: $100,000

Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package
